Japan X Hong Kong

"Namstrops", a reverse reading of sportsman, this name reflects the artists’method and philosophy of their activity which is a combination of sports, art and education. Together with Professor Rumiko Takahashi (dance education) from the University of Miyazaki, the group conducted a four-day workshop for twelve professional dancers in Unlock Dancing Plaza in July 2016, exploring the method and theory of "Contemporary Artistic Physical Education" and "expression physical education".

“We may or may not have flown over 1228.322 miles (1976.793 kilometres). There we see a short, thick rainbow.”

Namstrops furthered the exploration with Hong Kong artists to create a new work A
Short, Thick Rainbow in December 2016, to symbolize how the joyfulness brought from the art of dance could overcome distances, geographically and culturally.
