A make-believe monologue
is in fact part of a coordinated play.
Neither I know when I am at my best,
nor you are aware of yours.
Yet our paths cross at a certain point of time
and our story comes into being — not a moment later or earlier.
Public Participation - Body on Stage
This series suits a wide range of people and aims to inspire participants with different backgrounds. Combining teaching processes and creative workshops, the interaction between dance artists and participants can be explored. Daily materials, such as plastic bags, tennis balls, A4 paper and other different materials, are used to probe into the movement and perception of the body in the creation and performance of this series. Not only served as props, but these daily objects can also be endowed with vividness and artistic values through the association with certain retrospective and introspective qualities. With the interaction with these objects, participants create dance works in a semi-open structure. The company will also arrange opportunities for public performances so that the pieces will be presented to the public. As a result, the participants can get bodily satisfaction from dancing in performance.
