Dancehouse

Established in 1992 by local artists, Dancehouse is Australia’s only presenting and producing house dedicated solely to the year-round presentation of dance by and with independent dance artists and communities. Dancehouse represents a diversity of visions, practices, and generations committed to the expression, development and celebration of dance artists, and the artform itself. Dancehouse offers accessible and affordable spaces to an array of movement practitioners, teachers, audiences and communities. As a producing and presenting house, Dancehouse hosts large-scale events and festivals that support both local artists and international guests and offer programs that are incubators, catalysts and connectors; spanning presentations, commissions, training, residencies, research, capacity building, public programs, digital content and publications.

Thinkers' Studio

Thinkers' Studio Founded in 2013, Thinkers’ Studio is a private, independent arts platform based in Taipei, Taiwan. We are a team made up of different talented art administrators and managers. Our team focuses on strategic management in performing arts professionals, widening domestic and international connections, arts and culture events planning and art spaces operating. Through our platform, we aimed to promote a well-structured and friendly creative hub where artists can experiment and bring their vision to life. Also, we hope to build a forum for arts practitioners to envision different possibilities in creative process and production, thus building towards a more diverse, friendly and robust arts ecosystem.

Thinkers’ Studio first set its foundation base in the Thinkers’ Theater which was located in the heart of Dadaocheng (Tua-Tiu-Tiann), Taipei City. During its 10 years of management in Thinkers’ Theatre, artists and practitioners are gathered, uncountable ideas are exchanged and creative sparks fly. Today, we also manage Linsen 59 and Art Together, two rehearsal spaces under the Taipei City Government Department of Cultural Affairs. Through all the space management work, our team strives to create various possibilities of resources and ideas for co-operation in Taiwan and worldwide.

Thinkers’ Studio values partnership. Till now, our team has been working with more than 150 artists and art groups from 18 countries all over the world. Together, we have produced more than 100 performances, work-in-progress showcases, art activities and workshops. Some of the highlights were our initiation and cooperation in “Tua-Tiu-Tiann International Festival of Arts” alongside multiple entities from Dadaocheng neighborhood from 2015 to 2019 and the kick-start of our core project “Performing Arts Development and Support System” and “Network Platform of South East Asia” since 2020.

Thinkers’ Studio always believes companionship is the foundation of any long-term relationship. As an arts administration and management team and platform, we are always open to any art workers, artists and groups with creative ideas. We strive to support the art industry with professional consultation and management services for various art perspectives and create transformative action that builds towards new, exciting possibilities.

Ergao Dance Production Group
(Guangzhou)

Ergao Dance Production Group, founded by (Er Gao) in 2007, is a contemporary performance organization based in Guangzhou and Shunde, China. It maintains a focus on the body as a subject of scrutiny and creation, discussing various issues in Chinese society and culture such as the body, gender, and identity through theater, film, live synthesis, community dance, and other mediums in a surreal yet serious manner. It serves as an evolving image and body archive rooted in self-expression and local narratives, as well as a platform for artistic exchange and interaction among artists in southern China.

Notable works include " Butterfly Island," "Disco-Teca," the " Kung Hei Fat Choy " series, and " This is a chicken coop," among others. Recent works have addressed topics like the constantly migrating new urban immigrants in Chinese society, the counterfeit body, and the public aspects of dance. In 2024, Ergao Dance Production Group established the Ergao Dance· Southern Dance House in Zuotan Village, Shunde, with overall operations funded by the "He Di Zai Chuang" project.

DANCE NUCLEUS is a choreographic centre for the capability development of independent artists and the creative development of contemporary performance.

DANCE NUCLEUS enables a network of trans-local partnerships in Singapore and the Asia-Pacific.

DANCE NUCLEUS is supported by the National Arts Council (Singapore) under the Major Company Scheme for the period from 1 April 2022 to 31 March 2025.
